Fishing game

This is a great game that can go with the many of the fishing stories in the Bible. I used it for the story about Jesus appearing to Peter and the disciples after his resurrection, while they were fishing.

How to play the Fishing Game...
In this game, kids stand inside a boat and use a fishing line with a rock tied to the end and try to land on the fishes. If the rock lands on a fish, it goes in the boat. If the rock lands on a piece of seaweed then they must throw a fish back.

Variation: On each fish write one word of the Memory Verse. Children must catch the fish in order of the words of the verse.

Materials

• construction paper cut out in fish & seaweed shapes
• string
• small pebble or rock
• cardboard box boat
